George Mills
MARSOC/JTAC
A combat veteran of both Iraq and Afghanistan, former Gunnery Sergeant George Mills served over 18 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, conducting multiple combat deployments. George served as the primary Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) for 1st Marine Raider Battalion, Charlie Company, Team 8133 in Afghanistan, 2012. He initially enlisted in the Marine Corps in 2002 as an Infantry Rifleman, serving in the Anti-Terrorism Battalion. He also worked in Iraq as a DoD Private Security Contractor. Returning to the Marine Corps in 2007, George joined the 4th Air/Naval Gunfire Liaison Company (ANGLICO) and retrained as a Scout/Observer and JTAC, which led him to MARSOC where he served as a Special Operations Capabilities Specialist (SOCS-B) in Firepower Control.
George is a NAUI Instructor Trainer and Technical/Cave Diver. Currently, he is a Firefighter for the City of West Palm Beach and a Public Safety Diver Instructor for his Department’s Dive Team. He is a Rope Rescue Technician and Paramedic.
George struggled for years with Post Traumatic Stress finding total and complete healing through his faith at Operation Restored Warrior (ORW) and through aqua therapy as a diver in South Florida.
