Matt served with distinction for 22 years as a Navy SEAL, retiring in 2019 as a Command Master Chief. He is a combat veteran with multiple deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation New Dawn. His awards include the Bronze Star for Valor, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, 5 Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals and the Army Commendation Medal.

Matt is a native of Virginia Beach, VA and currently resides in Islamorada, FL with his wife and three sons. An avid waterman and licensed Captain, he owns and operates Islamorada Coastal Adventures in the Florida Keys.
