Christopher Johnson
U.S. Army Green Beret
Master Sergeant Christopher Johnson (US Army, Re8red) served for 20 years in
the US Army with 19 years in Special Forces. He has a wide array of military
experience throughout the Asian-Pacific theater and the Middle East. He has
combat deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq, and the Philippines coupled with
experience working with foreign partners in security coopera8on events
throughout Asia.
Chris’s career has encompassed all phases of conflict, from kine8c combat
opera8ons in expedi8onary environments to interagency and interna8onal
efforts within an embassy seTng. His military schooling includes the Special
Forces Qualifica8on Course, the Combat Dive Supervisor Course, the Military
Freefall Jumpmaster Course, the Joint Special Opera8ons Forces Senior
Enlisted Academy, and many other military schools. Chris spent over nine
years in leadership roles in the 1st Special Forces Group including serving as a
Team Sergeant of a Scuba detachment in Afghanistan.
Chris became a NAUI Instructor in 2023 through the 1st Special Forces Group
(Airborne) Dive Support Facility. He believes that success and confidence in
the water translates to success in other areas of life. His Scuba qualifica8on at
12 years old, embed him with confidence that translated to success in
subsequent pursuits in the military and life. Chris is ac8ve in his community,
enjoys the outdoors, and playing with his wife, three children, and their family
pets.
