New Appointments & a Salute
(Montauk, NY) – FORCE BLUE is proud to announce that Program Director/Co-Founder, Keith Sahm, has moved into the new position of Chief Operations Officer. In his new role, Keith will be responsible for managing the day-to-day finances of the organization, as well as budgeting for all current and future FORCE BLUE Deployments. With over 30 years of experience working both with and inside the Dive industry, Keith is uniquely qualified to shepherd FORCE BLUE through its next period of growth — from fledgling nonprofit to workforce powerhouse.
In keeping with the theme of expansion, FORCE BLUE is thrilled to announce the addition of Kent Island Scuba owner and Marine Science Foundation Chairman, Brad King, to its Board of Directors and the appointment of Patti Kirk-Gross as the organization’s new Dive Safety Officer (DSO).
A U.S. Naval Intelligence veteran and engineering and technology leader, Brad brings a game-changing perspective to FORCE BLUE in its quest to become the most adaptable, most cutting-edge organization operating in the field of marine resource preservation and restoration today.
Patti, who previously served as part of the FORCE BLUE instructors staff for both TEAM ONE and TEAM TWO Training & Recruitment Deployments (RNT’s) and as a member of FORCE BLUE’s Dive Safety Board, will move into the role of Dive Safety Officer effective immediately and will lead the team on its upcoming joint mission with the Turtle Hospital in Marathon to study the distribution, foraging ecology and health of Green Sea Turtles in the Lower Florida Keys.
Lastly, FORCE BLUE would like to take this opportunity to salute Operations Director, USAF TSGT Nicole Rosga, who recently deployed overseas with the Florida Air National Guard. Her continued service in defense of our nation is inspiring to us all. Godspeed, Nicole. We look forward to welcoming you home and back into to the FORCE BLUE fold later this fall.
