Inspiration from FORCE BLUE: Helping Veterans and the Planet

It is always exciting to meet new people and to learn about their interests and causes. This weekend was one such example in which I learned about an organization and its powerful cause.
My husband Mike and I are certified scuba divers. Mike is active in the scuba community so we attended Kent Island’s Scuba event featuring Force Blue. Force Blue is a non-profit, which parlays Special Operation and combat diver Veterans’ training and skills to mission critical conservation projects for the planet’s endangered coral reefs. Force Blue provides an environment to assist Veterans in their transition to civilian life by providing a purpose, support community, and demonstrating how their military training is transferable to life outside of the military.
Through coral reef restoration projects, Force Blue not only helps Veterans in transition but also protects our ocean’s fragile eco-system.
